Celebrity Bouffant Style: Get The Look

Volume is back in a big way, and celebrities like Kim Kardashian, Ashley Tisdale, and AnnaLynne McCord, rocked modern bouffant hairstyles at last week’s 2011 People’s Choice Awards. This is not exactly your grandmother’s updo, so we decided to go straight to the pros for their advice on how to get this glam look.

Prepping your hair is an important step to creating this voluminous style. Samy, Celebrity Stylist and  Creator of Samy Hair Care Products says, “After shampooing your hair, apply Samy Fat Hair ‘O’ Calories Mousse, about the size of a pearl, and run it through your hair from root to ends. Starting with this important step will leave your hair feeling and looking thicker, fuller, and with lots of body.”

Once hair is fully dry, apply the Samy Fat Hair “O” Calories Thickening Créme at the roots. “This will give you an instant lift at the roots without teasing your hair,” suggests Samy. “Sweep hair into an elegant up-do, or softly pull back into a low ponytail, and leave ends loose. Finish the look with Samy Fat Hair “O” Calories Amplifying Spray. This will secure your style, creating a smooth all night glamour look that will last the entire evening!”

For a soft and voluminous updo style, Michael Duenas, CEO of Hair Room Service in New York, suggests starting by blow-drying damp hair with Schwarzkopf OSiS Grip Mousse. “Once hair is dry, section hair at the crown and add OSiS Dust It to the roots,” explains Duenas.

Gently comb back hair at the root, pull it back to secure it, and style it with simple bobby pins. Pull out a few face-framing tendrils and define the curl with your finger. “A product of choice for styling tendrils is Marsh Mellow Mould Paste by OSiS - it gives a soft, clean definition for loose tendril styles.”
