Celebrity Makeup Artist and Vapour Creator Eric Sakas: A TFS Interview

Eric Sakas

Eric SakasNot many people can say they've had the opportunity to work with one of the greatest makeup artists ever, Kevyn Aucoin. Eric Sakas not only worked with him, he also helped to create the cult-favorite product line, Kevyn Aucoin Beauty. Eric's most recent venture, co-founder of Vapour Organic Beauty, brings him back to his product development roots, but he still maintains his passion for makeup application, working with celebrity clients like Janet Jackson and Kyra Sedgwick.

I asked Eric my 3 favorite beauty-related questions. Here's what he had to say:

INDUSTRY BREAK: I got a huge break by meeting the late legendary makeup artist Kevyn Aucoin. I worked closely with him for nearly ten years. I had the opportunity to work on may projects with him, including his best selling makeup books and his product line.

5 MOST COVETED PRODUCTS:

Vapour Aura RadiantVapour Atmosphere Luminous Foundation – it is the closest product I have found that looks like luminous beautiful skin. Its blend-ability is unreal and it is made with Certified Organic Botanicals.

Vapour Aura Radiant Blush (right) – It looks like the glow of youth! Healthy flush cheeks that aren’t dry, cakey, or powdery.

Kevin Aucoin Sensual Skin Enhancer It can be as sheer as you want or as opaque as you want. When blended out, it looks like perfect skin. Amazing.

Kevyn Aucoin Volume Mascara The rich black formula and tiny brush double up to create the most amazingly long eyelashes.

Lashem – This lash growing serum really works! In about a week’s time lashes will be longer.

FAVORITE LOOK YOU'VE CREATED: I love a natural looking dewy face that is sun-kissed in all of the right places. A neutral eye with long black separated lashes. Lips that are stained and lightly glossed. A pearly highlight on the inside corners of the eye. I love a naturally looking enhanced face that looks like you were born that way.
