Why we like it: We often say that if you’re going to do a bold lip, keep the eye more subdued and vice versa but Dianna Agron has proven us wrong. Her matte pink pout paired with eyes subtly lined in silver results in a look perfect to take you from day to night and remarkable enough to leave an impression.
How to get it at home: The success of this look rests on a few key factors, clean looking skin, an undone hairstyle, and restraint in application. After your primer, concealer, and foundation, apply a liquid highlighter such as Benefit’s High Beam $26 on the tops of your cheekbones, this will lift your skin and make the glitter around your eye less obvious. For your eyes, use a silver pencil liner such as Sephora Collection’s Liner Electro in Silver Electro 03 $8 around the eye and on the waterline, smudging slightly. A few swipes of a high-pigment silver eyeshadow such as Dior’s 1-Colour Ultra-Smoothing High Impact Eyeshadow in Chrome $28.50 can accent the liner if you want a bolder metallic look. Make Up For Ever’s Individual Eyelashes $15 will add lift and volume to the upper lash line, if you’re new to applying false eyelashes, only use a few around the outer corner of the eye as you build your confidence in application. A thin line of black liquid eyeliner on the top of the lash line applied before the lashes can act as a guide for the lashes and fill in the upper lash line. To finish off your look, apply a matte pink lipstick such as NARS’ Lipstick in Schiap $24. If you have naturally oily skin, you may want to consider a mattifying gel or powder such as Laura Mercier’s Secret Finish Mattifying $27 that will control the shine on your face and not take away from the glitter.
