Elizabeth Olsen: Beauty Look of the Week

Who: Elizabeth Olsen

Where: Premiere of Martha Marcy May Marlene

Why we like it: Red carpet beauty is often overwrought but Elizabeth Olsen’s natural, near no-makeup beauty look stood out this week amongst a sea of bold lipsticks and kohl rimmed eyes.

How to get it at home: The most wonderful thing about this look is that it can be achieved with only a few products. Start by prepping your skin with Laura Mercier’s Tinted Moisturizer SPF 20 – Illuminating $42. This will eliminate the need for foundation, highlighter, and primer and create a smooth, flawless base for your makeup. If necessary, apply concealer under the eyes or in any problem areas. Next, use an all-in-one cream product to your eyes, lips, and cheeks; Pot Rouge for Lips and Cheeks by Bobbi Brown $24 is the perfect product for creating this look. With your fingers, blend a small amount of product into your cheeks to give your skin a glowing flush. Apply the same product with a crease brush into the outer socket line of your eye with a buffing motion. Lastly, apply the product to your lips as a lip stain. This will not only create a uniform flush, but the tone will complement each other so well that it almost tricks the eye into believing you’re not wearing a lot of makeup. Groom your brows with a light pencil such as Anastasia’s Brow Wiz $20 and brush them upwards and outwards.

Eyelash serums such as Fusion Beauty’s StimuLashFusion Intensive Night Conditioning Lash Enhancer $89 have been entering the market for the past few years and have revolutionized the lash market. Applying them for just a few weeks can significantly increase the length and health of your eyelashes, making mascara less necessary. In this look, one coat of thin mascara can enhance the look without making your eyes look made up. Finish your look with Make Up For Ever’s HD Microfinish Powder $30 for an even, polished, and matte finish.
