3 Hair Styles Ready for Revival

Big, wavy hair has been a celebrity go-to hairstyle for years now, and although us curly-haired girls are rejoicing, we’re also starting to miss some of the older styles. Don’t get us wrong, trends like crimped hair and mullets were buried for a reason, but some ‘dos—think Jennifer Aniston— just rocked. Dare we call them classics? Take a look at a few hair styles we think need revival.

Zigzag Hair Parting

We know it’s been a while, so in case you forgot, here’s how to recreate the zigzag parting: wash and style hair as you normally would, then use a tail comb (a comb with a semi-pointy stick at the end of it) and start at the front of your natural hair line. Zigzag your way to the back of your head—the parting should separate naturally. Voila!

Perfectly Straight Hair

Regardless of the products you use, be sure to use something with a heat protection to avoid damaging hair.

Layers of Curls

Recreating this look is easiest for women with naturally wavy hair. Start by washing you hair with a curl-friendly shampoo. Next, pat your hair dry and spray it with a heat-protecting spray—like Fekkai’s Marine Summer Hair Beach Waves ($24)— then let the rest air dry. When it’s ready, take a one-inch barrel hair curler and begin creating small curls in layers, starting at the back of your head. Remember, the more curls the better and don’t forget your bangs.
