Who: Diane Kruger
Where: The 2011 Unicef Ball
Why we like it: This look is perfect for the holiday party season. With the metallic smoky eye and fresh face, it's easy to apply and maintain all night long.
How to get it at home: When you're applying makeup for a party, you have the ensure that it will last all night, so start with a moistruizing primer such as Laura Mercier's Hydrating Foundation Primer $30, which will guard against migrating makeup and the harsh winter winds. Next apply Clinique's Even Better Makeup SPF 15 $24.50 with a foundation or stippling brush to ensure even coverage. Cover any blemishes with a creamy concealer and use a highlighting pen such as Dior's Skinflash Radiance Booster Pen $37 under the eyes. You don't want to overly define your brows with this look but a tinted brow gel such as Benefit's Speed Brow $16 works well to define and manage your brows. Next, take Urban Decay's 24/7 Glide-On Shadow Pencil in Midnight Cowboy $20 and apply it all over the lid and under the lower lash line. With a crease brush, blend out the edges to avoid a harsh line. This will act as a base and add both glitter and color. With Bobbi Brown's Shimmer Brick in Bronze $39, use the bottom color, press it onto the lid, and run it under the lash line. The shimmering shadow will stick to the base and add a depth of color. Finish off your eyes with a coat of Benefit's They're Real Mascara $22 which is an ultra-performing product that will last all night. Finish off your look with Stila's Lip & Cheek Stain in Cherry Crush $24 blending on your cheeks and lips. This will ensure longlasting color and limit your need for touchups. Add a clear gloss for extra shine.
