Julie Bensman Tries the Make Up For Ever HD Complexion Starter Kit

Which is why I was skeptical to try Make Up For Ever’s Complexion Starter Kit. But even after one use, I’m a total convert and I’ve got the pictures to prove it:

Before: With wet hair from the shower, my skin is freshly washed and you can tell it’s the dead of winter (hence the translucent shade). I’ve got some dark circles under my eyes (thank you, air travel and holiday stress) and a general lackluster tone.

After: The three-step process left my face still feeling clean, but looking much more even, polished and with a subtle glow.

I started with the HD Microfinish Primer, which not only smelled amazing but kept my makeup in place all day. Step 2, the HD Invisible Cover Foundation was a cream base but felt like fine powder once applied. Last, I used the super-soft HD Kabuki Brush (included) to apply the HD Microfinish powder, which took away all my shine and balanced out the dark circles under my eyes.

They call it Make Up For Ever for a reason: you (and I) will be sticking with this easy regime for a long time to come.
