London designers usually take chances with their beauty looks and while there were a few crazy colors and outlandish themes this season, for the most part, they showed interesting, wearable looks that are easy to recreate at home. Here are a few of our favorites:
With a hat like that, anything more than minimal makeup would be over the top. This look is easy to recreate at home with a pink multi-use product on the eyes, cheeks, and lips. Perfect for a girl in a rush or on a budget.
Rust and wine tones are hard to use around the eye but this look from Zoe Jordan is striking and perfect for a cocktail party or dinner. The key is dimension, so don’t forget to highlight the inner corner and define the crease if you’re trying this look at home.
Basso & Brooke
The moment this lip came out, it was hard to concentrate on much else. Not only is it multi-dimensional, but it’s also matte, two things that rarely go together. If you’re looking to get this look at home, try filling your lip in with two colors of lip liner and blending the middle with a matte lipstick.
The Burberry beauty look is all about natural shadows, contours, and a soft brown smoky eye. This is a bold but surprisingly easy look to wear for day or night.
Dramatic clothes don’t always need dramatic makeup. This look from Christopher Kane featured polished, flawless, and well-groomed skin, and that’s all you really need.
Intricate up-dos are hard, but this one from Holly Fulton looked just simple enough to try it at home. To recreate it, try to get as much natural texture as possible with styling products and a diffuser, then pin sections up into a messy pile being as imperfect as you can.
Getting a natural-looking flush isn’t as easy as it seems and it’s the perfectly placed blush in this look from Issa that has it on our 'best of' list.
Moschino Cheap & Chic
This metallic lip isn’t for everyone, but we loved how it was paired with a soft, matte face. It’s a great example of how to do a statement feature with a twist. For a less dramatic version at home, try applying a frosty lipstick just to the center of your lips.
It seems all we talk about lately is glowing skin but it’s really the look of the season. This look from Mulberry pairs a flushed peach cheek with petal pink lips and is a refreshing daytime look.
With all of the princess braids on the red carpet these days, it’s hard to find a braided look that seems fresh and new. This multi-plaited look might not be for everyone but it’s a great way to hide dirty hair whilst still looking put together.
