Kristen Stewart: Beauty Look of the Week

Who: Kristen Stewart

Where: The 2012 Kids Choice Awards

Why we like it: The devil-may-care attitude Kristen Stewart often employs in the public is weirdly charming and so are her fashion and beauty choices. This incredible pairing of metallic blue and warm brown makes for a standout look.

How to get it at home: To start, apply a sheer foundation or tinted moisturizer such as NARS’ new Pure Radiant Tinted Moisturizer SPF 30 $42 with your fingers or a brush. This will give you an even finish without looking caked on or too matte. If you have oily skin, use a loose powder but only apply it where absolutely necessary. You want as much of a natural glow as your skin will allow. Fill in your brows with a strong pencil such as Anastasia’s Brow Wiz $20, but don’t forget to use the brush end to distribute the product and blend any harsh lines. A strong eye, such as this, requires a bit of time and a lot of products, but it’s worth it. Start by prepping your eyelid with Bobbi Brown’s Long-Wear Cream Shadow in Galaxy $24. This will act as a base, add depth to the shadows you apply over it, and give that silver shimmer. With a liner brush or small shadow brush, take a very small amount under the lower lash line. Next, apply Stila’s Eye Shadow in Azure $18, or any navy blue, over the silver but be careful not to blend it into the crease, as that’s where your brown will go. For the crease and under the lower lash line, apply Stila’s Eye Shadow in Coco $18, or any other warm chocolate brown. Blend it well into the crease and bring it down slightly under the lash line.  For extra depth, apply a silver glitter shadow into the inner corner. Finish off your eyes with a coat of a lengthening mascara such as Eyeko’s Skinny Brush Mascara $19.

Because the eyes are so dramatic, very little is needed for the rest of the face. Take a multi-use product such as Bobbi Brown’s Pot Rouge in Pale Pink $30, and apply it to your lips and the apples of your cheeks and then you’re done.
