Who: Kate Bosworth
Where: The Los Angeles premiere of Life Happens
Why we like it: Considering the amount of time Kate Bosworth seems to spend on the red carpet, you'd think she would have a go-to look, but she doesn't. What's cool and refreshing about Kate is her nonchalant approach to beauty. This look, which is very simple and easy to recreate, would be perfect for work but doesn't look out of place at an event. It's a perfect day to night look.
How to get it at home: Start with a primer that has a bit of shimmer in it, such as Laura Mercier's Foundation Primer in Radiance $30. The overall look is very matte but this will give your skin a subtle glow without any dewyness. Next, take a matte foundation such as Make Up For Ever's Mat Velvet + $34 and apply it with a damp sponge or brush. If you don't want too much coverage, it's easy to sheer out a full coverage foundation by applying it with a damp brush. Brighten up your under eye area by using Smashbox's Photo Op Under Eye Brightener $19. Peach toned concealers or brighteners are best for the under eye area as the tone counteracts any blue or purple shadows you may have. The eyes are very bare in this look but they're well groomed. Use a clear gel such as Anastasia's Brow Gel $21 to brush your brows up and out. This will give them a groomed look without adding too much color or definition. Curl your lashes and apply a lengthening mascara such as Benefit's They're Real! Mascara $22. Lastly, finish off your look with a coat of Bite Beauty's Luminous Creme Lipstick in Vigne $24, which is not only an amazing fuchsia color, but also has long-term antiaging benefits.
