Olay’s Hair Removal kit is made up of a product duo, so applying is a two-step process. Because Olay’s system anticipates the problem of irritation, which plagues most hair removers, the first step is applying the Skin Guarding Balm. Made up of a blend of wax, glossamer, and emollients, this pre-treatment protects skin from painful irritation by creating a very thin layer between the hair remover and your face.
As for the actual hair remover? Unlike most, this one didn’t have any particular odor and used with the Skin Guarding Balm, I suffered no irritation. My skin can sometimes break out with tiny little bumps after using products like this, but with Olay’s Hair Removal Duo, the hair slid right out and the skin above my upper lip was simply (for once!) smooth and totally texture-free.
