Rachel Zoe’s No-Makeup Runway Look for Spring 2013

A Maybelline BB Cream was used to prep the skin, while a soft blush was applied on the tops of cheekbones. Powder was brushed on the center of the face and a few freckles were created across the nose and cheeks with an eyebrow pencil. The eye was the most interesting part: a brown shadow was used to bring out the natural brown around the eyes and it was blended under the socket of the eyes, creating an interesting take on a natural smokey eye. The goal of the look was to contour and bring out the models’ best natural features. For nails, three shades of Maybelline polishes were blended: Born with It, Porcelain Party, and Sweet Clementine.

The hair look was created by the ever amazing Odile Gilbert for Kérastase and the goal was to achieve an undone tousled look. Hair was prepped with Volumactive and then Fiber Architecte was applied to seal the ends while the hair was being blown out with a round brush. Double Force was the key product used to achieve the bedhead look and all models had extensions added to their hair. Some models were also given bangs, which were anchored by braids that were wrapped around the head.
