Get Katie Holmes’ Low-Key Makeup Look

Where: Late Show with David Letterman

Why we like it: We’ve been talking a lot about perfect party looks this month, but what about the rest of the holiday time? This look is perfectly understated, and easy to recreate. An ideal choice for those low-key holiday moments.

How to get it at home: The key to this look is a radiant base. If there’s one product you use this holiday season, make it BECCA’s Shimmering Skin Perfector, $41. This skincare/makeup hybrid gives the skin a luminous glow that will make you look fresh even if you’ve overindulged the night before. Next, take a sheer foundation or BB Cream, such as Bobbi Brown’s BB Cream Broad Spectrum SPF 35, $42, blending it well into the skin. Finish off your skin using Benefit’s Fine One One, $30, which is a brightening cheek color which will give you a subtle flush.

Lightly fill in your brows using LORAC’s Creamy Brow Pencil, $20, and brush through at the ends to distribute the product. Line your upper waterline using a soft dark liner, such as NARS’s Larger Than Life Long-Wear Eyeliner in 47th Street, $23. This will give your eyes definition without a hard line. Finish off your eyes with Dolce & Gabbana’s Secret Eyes Lengthening Mascara, $29, which will give you length and definition with a natural finish. Lastly, apply Clinique’s Chubby Stick Intense Moisturizing Lip Color Balm in Roomiest Rose, $16.
