Who: Rosie Huntington-Whiteley
Where: amfAR's 20th Annual Cinema Against AIDS 2013
Why we like it: As summer approaches and it's lighter in the evening, it can be hard to find a look that doesn't make you look overdone for the night. There's nothing worse than looking like you have a mask of makeup on when you go out before the sun sets. We love the taupe/grey tone of Rosie's smoky eye and the understated elegance of the tinted lip.
How to get it at home: A key element of this look is that Rosie looks fresh and healthy. Start with a tone-evening base, such as Clinique's Moisture Surge CC Cream Hydrating Colour Corrector Broad Spectrum SPF 30 ($35) which is a great base for the summer as it provides coverage and skincare benefits. Fill in any gaps in your brows then brush through them with a clear gel, such as Sephora Collection's Transparant Brow Gel Waterproof ($12).
Getting Rosie's eye is easier than it looks. Prep your lid using Urban Decay's 24/7 Glide-On Shadow Pencil in Mushroom ($20), blending outwards in the outer corner. Then blend Bobbi Brown's Long-Wear Gel Eyeliner in Graphite Shimmer Ink ($23) into the lashline and use a small amount on a fluffy brush to define the crease. The beauty of this look is that it's imperfect so you can blend it to your liking making it more brown or grey depending on the look you're going for. Finish off your eyes with a volumizing mascara, such as Dolce & Gabbana's Intenseyes Black Intensity Mascara ($32).
The last step for this look is to find a hydrating lip balm that gives just a hint of color, such as Korres Greek Yoghurt Nourishing Lip Cooler in Raspberry ($19).
