This has been a great year for beauty. Awards season was predictably boring, but thankfully the year that followed was full of surprises. We saw pixie cuts, bright lips, crazy colors, and not all of them were good but here are ten of our favorite stars of the year and the looks that cemented their places in our best beauty list.
It was the cut heard round the world, but whether you love it or hate it, you can't deny that Jennifer is working the pixie in every way possible. This look was when the crop was still in its early days, but this tousled look really played to the strengths of her bone structure.
She's no stranger to best dressed lists, but we think Diane has really hit the mark with her natural beauty looks. Sure, she can wear a red lip like few others but we love when she focuses on a contoured base and radiant skin.
It's no surprise to see Kerry on this list as she's been knocking it out of the park all year. We love her use of bright and bold lipsticks and her sleek updos. She never disappoints.

She may slide through under the radar for many best beauty lists but looking back at the whole year, we were consistently impressed with her creative use of color.
While she's always the most innovative with her beauty, we would be remiss not to include the pop princess on our list. This look in particular had us taking a closer look as we love the creative use of a bold color.
This newcomer is in line to be a major beauty player. We love how she is not afraid to push boundaries and take a chance.
She hasn't spent as much time in the public this year but the time she did spend on the red carpet was noteworthy. She's a chameleon and we love how she is constantly reinventing classic looks.
It's no secret that Carey was the belle of Cannes this year but this look was by far a standout. We love the rich tone of her lipstick paired with clean skin and the icy shades in her hair.
Her Gravity press tour put her on many of the best dressed lists but this look specifically caught our attention. It's playful without being inappropriate and works to highlight her best assets.
