Popcorn, Green Juice and Three Eyeliners Backstage at Rag & Bone Fall 2014

Food is the last thing you’d think a Fashion Week show would be about, but nonetheless Rag & Bone always kills it with its catering. In addition to an assortment of desserts and gourmet sandwiches, they once again had specially-created fresh juices and buckets of popcorn — and many of the models were indulging.

As for the beauty look, it was created by Revlon global artistic director Gucci Westman, who focused on a clean, but slightly punk look with a strong lined bold eye (three liners were used). White liner was used on the lips to take out the red, brows were groomed and filled in on an as-needed basis and mascara was applied only on the top lashes. “I think it’s cool to do a shape that’s a little weird for the eye. The look we created is unexpected yet simple. I love the simplicity of the focus being on just the eye — it ties into real life. Most women don’t have a lot of time to do their makeup.” As for nails, Jin Soon Choi told us she wanted to create a minimalist 60s look and therefore opted to use a nude, Revlon ColorStay Gel Envy Longwear Nail Enamel in Checkmate, that will be hitting stores this summer.

For hair Paul Hanson told us he wanted hair to look like “a ratty knot — the hair almost becomes a material with ends sticking out. It’s a little dreadlocky but done in an elevated way. I’m not a big fan of cloning so I like that this style allows for a little bit of individuality.”
