Why we like it: All too often red carpet hair is polished and/or complicated, so it’s lovely to see a fuss-free look that we can easily replicate at home.
How to get it at home: The key to supermodel hair is quality and the secret to their success isn’t much of a secret at all. Models such as Karlie Kloss and Jessica Stam use the supplement Viviscal ($39.99), which promotes healthy and longer hair, so the best way to get this look is to start at the root of the problem, literally. Once the base work is done, it’s easier to get more glamorous looking hair.
For this look, you could prep your hair with a styling cream or mousse, but we like Bumble and bumble’s Hairdresser’s Invisible Oil Primer ($26), which will contribute to the soft, fluffy look for which we’re going. Either air dry or blow dry your hair upside down for added volume. When your hair is fully dry, separate your hair into sections and with a medium barrel curling iron, such as CHI’s Smart 3 in 1 Titanium Ceramic Styling Wand ($134.99), start to curl two inch sections into ringlets. Work your way through your hair until its completely curled. Mist your whole head with a flexible but firm hold hairspray, such as Drybar’s The Sheriff Firm Hold Hairspray ($27), and then brush it out fully with a paddle brush or Tangle Teezer. Brush it more than you think you should because the more you brush it the more you’ll break up the curls.
