Get a Sizzling Summer Look in 5 Easy Steps

I love playing up the eyes, wearing a dramatic lip and keeping my cheeks simple with a tough of bronzer or blush. Mind you, I live in Florida. And the wearing a ton of makeup everyday thing just doesn’t seem sensible when you’re battling suffocating humidity and hurricanes every other day.

I managed to crank out this entire look spending practically nothing. Lean in, girlfriends. I’m going to show you how this works. But first, let’s give a shout-out to the products that were used…

  • Revlon Bold Lacquer mascara
  • Revlon Colorstay Skinny Liquid Liner
  • Revlon ColorStay Gel Envy Longwear Nail Enamel
  • Revlon Super Lustrous Lipstick
  • Revlon Powder Blush

I grabbed each and everyone of those products at my local Walmart. First up, I evened out my skin tone with a pressed powder. I truly wish Revlon’s PhotoReady BB Cream came in darker shades as I’ve heard great things about it but they don’t have anything fitting for my deep complexion. *raises fist to Revlon* Good ole’ Rev won me back with their fantastic powder blush in Wine Not.

I applied it to the apples of my cheeks and was left with a great dose of color. Since I’m girl who loves bold lips, I selected Revlon Super Lustrous Lipstick in Fuchsia Fusion.

Shades like this rock my world because I find them so flattering on women of all complexions. We’ve got our understated cheeks and a bold lip and so it’s on to the eyes.

Revlon’s Colorstay Skinny Liquid Liner is some kind of great because the brush is stiff enough to really give you control and the formula is not only long lasting but the BLACK is rich, deep and sultry.

It pairs perfectly with Revlon’s Bold Lacquer mascara. Perfect for my girls who are looking to have dramatic eyes, Bold Lacquer not only delivers but it lasts for hours at a time.

I haven’t tested it in a thunderstorm yet, but something tells me that she won’t budge. But really, what’s a Summer Sizzling look without a hot manicure to match?

Boom. Thank you, Revlon ColorStay Gel Envy Longwear Nail Enamel.

Gel nails are the trend these days but I love how I am able to get salon performance at a fraction of the cost. And I can do it at home. High Stakes is a funky hunter green and it totally fits my personality. It also makes for a pretty fantastic manicure and pedicure color. Green is a pretty untraditional shade for summer but hey, it’s cool to switch it up every now and then, right?

And there you have it. A look fit for summer that you too can create at home with these affordably goodies from your local Walmart. The best part? A look like this takes very little time.
