Use Bobby Pins for This Easy and Pretty Hairstyle

The half-up, half-down hairstyle is reminiscent of the Celine style that came down the runway at its Spring 2015 show. Hair was kept air-dried for natural texture, which helps when securing bobby pins, and the look only requires three pins — although one can add as many as desired. If you love the three pins used in the image, they are available for purchase on Mane Message for $9 as a set. Here’s how to get the look at home:

1. Pull two small sections of hair from the front half of the head (at or above the temples) and begin fishtail or regular braiding each section.

2. After braiding each section, cross them over at the back of the head and secure the left braid by sliding in a bobby pin at an angle, while catching the bottom end of the other braid. Repeat this step for the right side.

3. Take the third bobby pin and slide it below the crossed braids horizontally to complete the triangle.

4. Set hair with hairspray and add more bobby pins to the design as desired for a more graphic effect and extra hold.
