Graphic Block Liner at Suno: The New Cat Eye?

“The [makeup] look is very simple. It’s inspired by Rastafari and Matisse and it’s very graphic,” explained makeup artist Alice Lane for Maybelline backstage at Suno. Lane used the artistic inspiration to create a graphic block line on models’ eyes. “It’s more like makeup as an accessory,” expressed Lane as she swatched Maybelline Eye Studio Master Graphic (in Striking Black, no less) on the back of her hand to show the intensity of the pigment in the liner. “It’s like a marker pen — very inky and easy to play with the shape.” Lane suggests using a cotton swab to clean up any mistakes and to perfect the block line after it is swiped across from mid-lid out to the corners of the eye. Nail guru Honey complemented the bold makeup with zigzag nail art using Porcelain Party. Looks like the cat eye just got a little competition.
