Seductive Hair Knots and Smoky Eyes at Diane von Furstenberg Fall 2015

“The collection was inspired by seduction and this is a woman who is very confident. The hair is more of the seductress at night when she pulls her hair back and does the smoky eye — it’s the seductress knot,” explained Orlando Pita for TRESemmé backstage at DVF’s Fall 2015 show. Pita brushed hair back, sans part, and gathered it with an elastic. “If it’s too low, it becomes too ladylike, so it should be a bit higher than the nape of the neck, but not too high so that it looks too done,” advised Pita. He twisted the ponytail and pinned it loosely into a knot, leaving a few flyaways poking out for a sexy, undone effect.

When it came to makeup, artist Pat McGrath for Max Factor explained, “It’s all about the black eye and we did it using pencils, eyeshadows and cream eyeshadow in the center. The shape is simple and works its way out naturally — not winged out.” McGrath offset the intense eye makeup with golden highlighter along the cheekbones and a nude lip.
