The Fragrance Foundation’s 18 Award-Winning Scents for 2016

It’s been a big week for fashion, fragrances and Marc Jacobs. At Monday night’s annual CFDA Fashion Awards, Neville’s dad took home the title of Womenswear Designer of the Year. The following evening, at the 2016 Fragrance Foundation Awards, Marc Jacobs’ Decadence won both Women’s Prestige Fragrance of the Year and Packaging of the Year. For those who have not showered themselves in Decadence, the perfume is a “sensual, luxurious, woody fragrance…with sultry top notes of Italian plum, iris flower and saffron.” Suffice it to say, it smells incredible.

Of course, neither the aforementioned scent nor Marc Jacobs were the only honorees this Tuesday. As host Alec Baldwin put it in his opening monologue, “Usually when I want to go to a place that has 1,000 smells, I’ll just take a subway, but tonight I’m at the 2016 Fragrance Foundation Awards.” From perfumes to home scents to bath and body lines, the most olfaction-pleasing products were given their due at Lincoln Center’s Alice Tully Hall.
