If there’s one thing fresh autumn leaves remind us of, it’s to try and be a little more eco-friendly as the holiday season approaches. Buddha Nose Orange Vanilla Lip Balm
As much as we whine about humidity in the summer, we might start to miss it when the dry air begins to chap our lips. Our solution (and absolute new obsession) is this new organic lip balm.
Buddha Nose has whipped up a potent moisturizing lip soother that’s packed with things like shea butter and coconut oil to keep skin hydrated for hours. Since it doesn’t contain petroleum, like many other balms, you won’t need to reapply as often. Its only downfall is its taste—it’s not a balm you want to be licking off your lips—but there’s a hint of citrus that makes it smell nice, so we’ll probably get over the taste.
Karma Organic Nail Polish in Never So Ever Green
Dark, woodsy colors have become this season’s hottest nail polish colors, and we have to say, we’re all about it. One of our faves for the Fall is a deep, olive green polish by Karma Organic that contains a hint of shimmer. The bonus about this polish is that it is “non-toxic” and although it’s not certified organic, it is 100 percent all-natural.
If green isn’t for you, check out some of their other colors; besides being eco-friendly, these polishes seem to last a while with minimal chipping after several days.
Physicians Formula Organic wear 100% Natural Origin Eye Shadow Duo
When it comes to buying eye shadow, the things that matter most are color and durability. This makes shopping for organic eye shadow tough: colors tend to be too “earthy” and often fade before you’ve even left the house. That said, we think we’ve found a winner with the Natural Origin shadow from Physicians Formula. This duo-color product comes in shades for every eye color, including a light shade to brush across the whole lid and a darker one to highlight creases.
What makes this product special is that it contains organic Jojoba seed oil, used as a moisturizing ingredient to help shadow stay in place for longer. We’d recommend these lighter Fall colors for anyone with super sensitive skin because the product is harsh chemical- and synthetic color-free, both of which irritate eyes.
