Who: Kate Bosworth Where: 2011 CFDA Vogue Fashion Fund Finalists Announcement Why we like it: Even though we're almost reaching the end of October, this fresh and springy look is the perfect way to brighten up a sunny fall day. It's easy, streamlined, and proves that one focal point is all you need for a great daytime look. How to get it at home: Start with a clean face and apply a tinted moisturizer or very thin coat of foundation. You want to avoid wearing makeup where you don't need it, especially with a clean look such as this. Apply a champagne hued highlighter such as Benefit's Watt's Up $30 to the tops of your cheek bones, your cupid's bow, and a very small amount on the bridge of your nose. This will catch the light without reflecting a ton of glitter. Next, take Laura Mercier's Undercover Pot $34 and conceal any blemishes or imperfections. This product is a three-in-one with two shades of concealer and a finishing powder. Apply the powder all over your face, including your eyelids, to set your base and prepare for using a powder blush. With a very light hand, blend a small amount of DiorBlush in Pink in Love $42 to the apples of your cheeks. You just want a subtle flush that looks like you're naturally blushing. For your eyes, you should have a matte base on your lids from applying your powder and you can leave them otherwise makeup free if you feel comfortable with it. If you have blonde or red hair, apply a taupe eyeliner such as Make Up For Ever's Aqua Eyes in 24L or 19L $18 to the waterline top and bottom and if you have brown or black hair, go with a dark brown. You want to define your eyes without adding a ton of color. Be sure to curl your eyelashes and apply a thin coat of a lengthening mascara. Unless you have naturally thick brows, you'll want to use a product such as Anastasia's Brow Powder Duo $22 to create a natural looking, filled in brow. Avoid using pencils or gels with this look as you want the soft effect of the powder.
