i-D magazine released its Spring 2014 cover earlier today via its website. The cover features Daria Werbowy photographed by Karim Sadli. Daria wears a coat by Calvin Klein which was styled by Alastair Mckimm.
"Daria on the cover of i-D!" enthused Starry. "And I think this is only her second cover for the magazine. Can't believe this!"
"Very intense and personal. Love the minimalist aspect of this," wrote |PerfectTonight|.
TREVOFASHIONISTO also shared the same positive attitude: "I love this! The pose, the colors, the minimalism of it. Perfect"
Naen was fond of i-D's minimal layout: "Great cover, I'm very fond of the clean layout."
Although not everyone was completely overwhelmed, with VogueDisciple93 commenting, "I HATE the film around the masthead," but did go on to further say, "But great cover otherwise, happy they didn't photoshop her age away."
I agree with VogueDisciple93. The transparent background overthrows the masthead here and without, I think this cover would have been note-perfect. I still love myself some Daria Werbowy, so I'm content nonetheless.
