Summer is just around the corner (or already here for most of you), and Vogue's showing us how to spend our summery days with its June cover. Charlize Theron is photographed by Mario Testino on location in Islamorada, Florida for a range of photos to ensure readers dream of their summer vacation. For the cover shot, the actress is seen posing under the shade of a tree wearing a navy blue Christian Dior dress.
Although as satisfied as I am to see Theron score another cover of Vogue, members of theFashionSpot are disappointed with Miss Dalloway writing, "LOVE her, but this is such a snooze fest, my god! She can photograph so much better! At least the text layout is well placed & 'minimal.'"
"Charlize is so amazingly beautiful and this does not show it …how is that possible though?" asked visualoptimism.
[Piece Of Me] shared the same sentiments: "Very boring indeed. Frustrating because Charlize can photograph so much better."
Cosmic Voices questioned the choice of dress and wrote, "The dress just doesn't correlate with the location. I love Charlize but she has had MUCH better Vogue covers imo."
One positive outcome of the issue seems to be a picture by Steven Meisel featuring Raquel Zimmermann, Adriana Lima, Alessandra Ambrosio and Isabeli Fontana for a story entitled 'Team Brazil.' You check out the image and the rest of the contents within the thread here.
