The cover became an instant hit. “I adore this! The colors look so beautiful. They complement Priyanka’s beauty so well. This could easily pass as a U.S. Vogue cover with minimal texts. Great job InStyle! This will be the first ever issue of InStyle that I’m going to get once it hits the newsstand here in our country,” announced a more than impressed cottonmouth13.

“I love this! And finally a Gucci dress that hasn’t been overexposed,” dodencebt pointed out in amazement.  (more…)

Karl Lagerfeld’s Luxe New DIY Sneakers Will Run You Up to $4000

A sketch of Karl Lagerfeld's new customized sneakers.

Taking a page out of DIY enthusiast Alessandro Michele’s book, Karl Lagerfeld will soon offer his own range of one-of-a-kind buys. Starting July 7, the Chanel and Fendi frontman’s eponymous brand will sell customizable sneakers. While Lagerfeld’s latest project may seem out of character for the suede boot-wearing style baron, upscale sneakers have long been coveted investment pieces among the fashion set, so this endeavor — unlike, say, a drawing kit costing $2,822 — seems a natural progression. Fourth of July weekend — the apex of bikini season — is upon us. Before we shed our office attire in favor of more water-resistant wear, Swimsuits For All is here to remind us to celebrate, not scrutinize, our beach bods. The self-professed “leading online retailer for curvy swimwear” just launched its latest campaign, entitled “Don’t Mind the Gap,” to remind us that the amount of space between our legs does not determine our sexual appeal.

As they bask oceanside and emerge from pools, these diverse women remind onlookers that negative space isn’t the only thing that looks hot in a cheeky bottom. To commemorate its 20th anniversary, Jimmy Choo enlisted beauties Amber Valletta, Sasha Pivovarova, Milla Jovovich, Lexi Boling, Taylor Hill, Jasmine Tookes and Xiao Wen Ju for the occasion. Each woman poses in Craig McDean’s studio amongst minimal surroundings, proving less is always more.

Forum members couldn’t wait to debate which model stood out most. “Jasmine and Taylor seem so out of place, especially Taylor! Jasmine looks high and seems so commercial to me? They both look so lost among legends like Sasha, Milla and Amber. Lexi is super awkward too. Xiao slays as usual,” shared SpeakThatJDunn straight away.

Anlabe32 was quick to chime in: “Great cast except for Jasmine and Taylor, obviously. Amber looks spectacular. Classier than usual for Jimmy Choo.” (more…)

Barbie Ferreira Claps Back at Designers Who Don’t Want to Dress Leslie Jones

Shmoody face ! For @notofumag

When Leslie Jones took to social media to berate designers for not wanting to dress her for her upcoming Ghostbusters premiere, the actress sparked a chain of events that highlight the extent to which even plus-size celebrities are excluded from the fashion world.

Stylist Jessica Paster went so far as to blame Jones for her own lack of foresight, implying the actress should be aware of — and cater to — the fashion industry’s discriminatory practices. “She should have known four to five months ago the date of premiere, and said, ‘I’m not a sample size, I need to go to designers early or buy myself a dress.’ Don’t be blaming designers and saying they don’t like you,” Paster told Pret-a-Reporter.

Jeanne Yang, another stylist, added, “It’s just pure economics. People have this belief that showrooms and designers have racks and racks of clothing in all sizes. They don’t.”

Regardless, it’s evident that any number of high fashion designers could have used their considerable resources to make Jones a dress. After all, one-time theFashionSpot guest editor Christian Siriano (shameless plug), a respected designer with many a plus-size collection under his belt, stepped forward and somehow managed the feat despite the time crunch.
