Margot Robbie Wears What Looks Like an Ice Skating Outfit on Harper’s Bazaar Australia’s March Cover

We’ve had our fill of Margot Robbie at the newsstand over the past six months. She’s been on American ELLE twice, British ELLE, W Magazine twice, British Vogue, Vogue Australia and now makes an appearance on Harper’s Bazaar Australia for March. The Aussie native is the actress on everyone’s lips lately, so we can’t blame Bazaar for featuring Margot on the cover of its 20th-anniversary issue. Photographed by Max Doyle, the Australian beauty was photographed on location wearing an embellished Gucci bodysuit in the newsstand cover shot (below).

Something about the cover didn’t sit right with our forum members, however. “Why is she wearing her ice skating costume from I, Tonya?” asked A.D.C.

“This must be an exclusive, I’ve not seen this shot before. Great for them. This edition reprints so much that I’ve forgotten their ability to pull someone so high in demand. It looks better than her ELLE cover, which I liked, but the Tonya outfit is a bit much. I’m getting tired of her, personally,” Benn98 chimed in. (more…)

Everything Works on Kendall Jenner’s Vogue Korea Covers for March 2018

Our forum members are notoriously hard on Kendall Jenner, frequently taking aim at her modeling skills. After a lackluster Harper’s Bazaar cover last month, she managed to blow us away in the superb Missoni Spring 2018 ad campaign and now impresses as Vogue Korea’s latest cover girl. Photographed by Hyea W. Kang, Kendall stars in a duo of vibrant covers, including a vivid close-up portrait shot (below) and a more conventional studio shot, giving us a major stare-down (after the jump).

Our forum members couldn’t believe their eyes. “Surprised how much I like both covers!” confessed Miss Dalloway the moment the covers came to light.

“Oh, OK. I love this!” guimon admitted. (more…)

Reese Witherspoon Looks Radiant on Marie Claire’s March 2018 Cover

Both the American edition of Marie Claire and actress Reese Witherspoon have been doing great things lately and, therefore, it’s only natural the two paired together would be a good match. The magazine impressed last month with Hailee Steinfeld channeling her inner Brooke Shields and Reese’s last newsstand appearance on WSJ Magazine was proclaimed a favorite cover of 2017 by the tFS forums. Reese looks radiant and angelic in white Proenza Schouler on Marie Claire‘s March 2018 cover, shot by Thomas Whiteside and styled by Alison Edmond.

Surprisingly, the cover received mixed feedback from forum members. “My most favorite March cover out of the US monthlies, hands down. I am loving Reese Witherspoon lately and love how fresh, light and airy this cover feels. The coloring is beautiful and I love the white sleeve. After last month, Marie Claire‘s on a roll. Another thumbs up from me!” vogue28 approved instantly.

“I love this! Love it!! Its looks so relaxed and very fresh! Stunning. I’m biased toward Reese though, but still. The best March cover so far,” added MON. (more…)

Emma Watson Is Vogue Australia’s Guest Editor and Cover Girl for March 2018

Vogue Australia has been making quite an effort to create buzz and drive sales lately. The magazine unveiled a daring new redesign back in September (much to our forum members’ dismay) and now makes Emma Watson guest editor for March 2018. The Brit actress and activist was photographed by Peter Lindbergh for one of his signature effortless and laid-back photo shoots, resulting in two covers: one (below) with Emma cozying up in a thick knit sweater and a second (after the jump) featuring a smiling Emma wearing a black ruffled number.

The covers generated all sorts of feedback on our forums. “Shades of young Rachel Weisz in that first shot, with the long messy hair, pretty brows, and relaxed smile. Gorgeous. The second one (below) is too forced, with the fake Kate Middleton like smile,” commented HeatherAnne.

“It’s nice to see her smile! She’s beautiful. Love the first cover. She looks like she’s cold on the second one, and her smile does look more forced,” echoed Valentine27. (more…)

Luna Bijl Serves High Voltage Glamour on Vogue Russia’s March Cover

If there’s one thing we crave from our favorite fashion glossies, it’s glamour, and Vogue Russia gives us just that for March 2018. The magazine won us over last month with a bold 80s-inspired Grace Hartzel cover and now enlists forum favorite Luna Bijl as its latest cover girl. Fresh from the covers of Vogue Japan and Vogue Netherlands, Luna delivers what may be her strongest magazine cover yet, looking fierce and fabulous for photographic duo Luigi & Iango and stylist Patrick Mackie (no doubt shot right after the Vogue Japan shoot).

Giampaolo Sgura’s Birgit Kos Cover for Vogue Germany Gets Mixed Reviews

Our forums have a love/hate relationship with photographer Giampaolo Sgura and often call him out, whether he’s shooting Moschino’s latest fragrance campaign or producing some pretty horrific covers for Vogue Germany. We clearly need to make our rants a whole lot louder as the magazine welcomes back the Italian lensman to shoot the March 2018 cover story. Vogue Germany enlists rising star Birgit Kos for the sultry cover shot, styled by editor-in-chief Christiane Arp in Giorgio Armani.

Our forum members won’t be making a dash for the newsstand. “Nothing works for me here, it looks like a makeup and hair test shot, this is NOT cover worthy! Why is Arp so into Sgura?” asked Miss Dalloway upon checking out the cover.

“2018 and I’m wondering why Sgura is still hired,” stated helmutnotdead. (more…)
