Sorry Louis Vuitton, Even Léa Seydoux Can’t Save Your Latest Jeff Koons Collaboration

Despite the critics (and our forum members’ disapproval), the instantly recognizable Louis Vuitton x Jeff Koons collaboration must have served the brand well, as the world-renowned artist and legendary French fashion label reunite for yet another collection. Now including the iconic works of Manet, Turner and Gauguin, actress and Vuitton brand ambassador Léa Seydoux replaces Alicia Vikander as the face of the collaboration. The team rejected the desert as the location this time around, opting for the studio with Léa reprising her role as the ultimate Louis Vuitton woman with effortless ease.

Love for Léa aside, it’s safe to assume that our forum members won’t be rushing to a Vuitton store anytime soon. “I can’t believe this Jeff Koons collaboration is continuing, it’s so ugly and the campaigns are nothing better. I feel sorry for Léa for having to participate in it,” wrote dodencebt straight away.

“Very cheap!” announced Nymphaea. (more…)

Valentino Hires Terry Richardson to Photograph the Resort 2018 Campaign, Prompting tFS Forum Members to Call for a Boycott of the Brand

Controversy has swirled around photographer Terry Richardson for years, with multiple accusations of sexual abuse and predatory behavior. With this week’s news of sexual harassment and assault allegations against Harvey Weinstein, another high-powered male in media, along with the viral #MeToo movement, it seems especially egregious that Richardson continues to be hired by the fashion industry. Porter, Vogue ChinaBulgari and Valentino are just a few of the brands that insist on working with Richardson. For Valentino’s new Resort 2018 campaign, models Faretta, Imari Karanja, Jolie Alien, Ratner, Selena Forrest, Torie Bowie and Mag Cysewska come together for the unfortunate occasion, shot on location at St. Vartan Park basketball court in New York City.

Needless to say, our no-holds-barred forum members weren’t impressed. “Why are they still using Terry?” asked Nymphaea demanding answers.

“THIS! 1000x THIS ?! Boycotting Valentino entirely til they wake the f’ up. Tacky tasteless and tone-deaf,” replied zoom. (more…)

Kerry Washington Appears Effortless and Radiant on Allure’s November Cover

For some unknown reason, magazines never know what to do with the gorgeous Kerry Washington. According to our forums, InStyle and The Edit have been the only glossies to ever do the actress justice, while the likes of Marie Claire, ELLE and Glamour can’t seem to adequately capture the actress’ beauty. Allure now gets a second chance with the 40-year-old actress for the November 2017 issue, delivering an effortlessly beautiful portrait (finally!) photographed by Sharif Hamza. Eschewing gimmicks and airbrushing, with minimal styling, the cover is sure to stand out at the newsstand.

Per usual, members of our forums wasted no time debating the cover. “Passable, but it could be better. I know it’s a beauty magazine, but maybe this closeup is way too close. Her makeup does look great though,” commented Benn98 the moment the cover came to light.

“Oh, this is lovely,” sighed Lucien122. (more…)
