Coming off of last month’s extraordinary Tilda Swinton cover, W has revealed its Kristen Stewart-covered September issue. Usually when an image is overly Photoshopped it’s a bad thing, but in this case it actually works in W’s favor. For me, Kristen Stewart couldn’t be more boring and I find her eye-rolling, arm-crossing, sullen-teen attitude (I don’t care if she’s 21, she still acts like a teen) to be extremely irritating. So, the fact that Mert Alas and Marcus Piggot (as well as the hair and makeup team) have made her nearly unrecognizable in W’s cover shot is a big plus for me. Based on forum member comments, it seems I’m not the only one who feels that way.

“All the shots look EXTREMELY airbrushed, but I must say she looks stunning on the cover,” thiago:)
“I don't really care if it's Photoshop or what, I've never seen her look better,” wrote clocked
agreed, saying: “This is probably the best over-done Photoshop job ever.”
“Great airbrushing,” Ives927
commended before adding, “She still doesn't interest me enough for me to pick up a magazine with her face on it.” I couldn’t agree more. Well done editing aside, if I wasn’t already a subscriber of W
I know I wouldn’t be picking this issue up at the newsstand.
