Anna Wintour might humor Kanye West with a conversation at a Givenchy show, but for the most part, the Vogue editor seems to be wishing that the whole sordid saga of his largely unsuccessful DW collection would just go away. When Eric Wilson of The New York Times requested a comment from her about the line, Wintour told him to go "ask someone else." It seems unlikely that pieces from Kanye's collection will turn up in the pages of Vogue.
Her counterpart in Japan, Anna Dello Russo, is also keeping quiet on the subject in a rather big way. Instead of gabbing about the collection, ADR decided to wear it, a mere three days after it showed on the runway. The Vogue Japan editor chose a ridiculously low cut slinky black number off her best bud's runway, and wore it to the Alexander McQueen show in Paris, one of the most celebrated collections of the season. I wouldn't say that she looks happy in it, but maybe that's only because she's a toss of the hair away from a wardrobe malfunction.
