Harper’s Bazaar UK tapped 90s supermodels Yasmin Le Bon, Helena Christensen, Cindy Crawford, Naomi Campbell and Eva Herzigova to grace the cover of their December issue. Though the combination of models seems like a Christmas gift for us all, it falls short of what you would expect from such powerhouse fashion icons.
“Even with all these girls and all the buzz and hype, I’m disappointed,” mikel wrote. “It doesn’t look spectacular at all.”
Label Basher posted: “I don't hate the cover but it could have been better. I wish Helena were smiling like the other four. When it comes to featuring the Supers whatever combo they use it always feels like someone’s missing.”
“Every recent gathering of old Supers has felt like a disappointment to me,” SugarMe commented. “I look at this photo and forget why these models were ever considered the best in the business. It's all just so boring,” she added.
The cover photo was taken in conjunction with a video shoot for Duran Duran’s new single ‘Girl Panic,’ which also stars the five Supers. Though the cover fell short of expectations, forum members are still hopeful that the music video will be memorable enough to make up for it. We shall see…
