There are so many fashion magazines out there and the covers have become so formulaic that a lot of them seem indistinguishable from one another after a while. For its January issue, Harper’s Bazaar Spain departed from the norm and created a visually interesting cover featuring Candice Swanepoel with an image that typically would have been relegated to an editorial.
“They've taken a shot not exactly suited for the cover, and through clever design, turned it into something fantastic,” wrote tigerrouge.
“Agree completely,” Psylocke posted. “This looks gorgeous. Very creative and fresh. Harper's Bazaar España is consistently good with their covers and editorial content.”
HeatherAnne also liked the shot. “I'm no Candice fan, but she looks quite badass on that cover. Love the styling, pose, and backdrop. Everything is very sleek and sexy,” she commented.
Other magazines should take note: it doesn’t hurt to try something different. With some clever graphic design, an unconventional image can yield eye-catching results.
