The Valentino campaign for Spring 2012 features models Fei Fei Sun, Zuzanna Bijoch, Bette Franke, Maud Welzen, and male model Claude Chabernaud photographed by Deborah Turbeville. The initial image that Valentino released had forum members debating over whether the campaign would be any good, but now that the rest of the campaign is also on display, the romanticism and lovely execution of the images seems to have won most of us over.
“This campaign is everything. Love it, utter perfection,” TeeVanity gushed.
Mulletproof had some minor gripes, but she posted, “I still find the set to be divine and it's all about textures and making each garment come to life through the scenery. You often see photographers/labels dying to create a sequence between ten pictures, and I love that in this campaign it's almost a marriage between the construction of the clothes and the materials of these abandoned houses and their synchrony with nature.”
Melly5525 can’t get over how great the new shots are. She poured on the adulation saying, “Wow completely stunning campaign, they absolutely knocked it out of the park with this one. Not only is the collection sublimely beautiful, but the scenery is perfect and utterly romantic; couldn’t be a better backdrop for the clothes. Definitely one of the top campaigns of the season, and easily my favorite Valentino campaign ever!”
As for the models here, Fei Fei definitely seems to be the standout star of the Valentino show. “Fei Fei looks movingly beautiful,” said BabyTurnsBlue.
Legolas agreed: “Fei Fei steals the campaign, I love how they chose her as the star of it,” he posted.
Here are the rest of the images for you to admire. Or not. It’s ok if you don’t get the appeal, but I’m telling you this is really pretty. Just so you know.
