Alexander McQueen Continues the Intergalactic Theme for Spring 2012 (Forum Buzz)

Zephons, Psyclocke and HeatherAnne all found the campaign to be a bit uneven. Zephons commented, “The last shot is divine, love it! But, the rest are quite mediocre… Her eyes look so dead.”

Psylocke wrote, “The second shot is simply beautiful. Everything works there—the styling, the colors, Zuzanna’s facial expression. Really stunning. Can’t say the same about the other two shots. The third one is just awful. Looks like some cheap editorial by some spiritual fanatic that you would find on Tumblr. The first shot is too reminiscent of last season’s campaign (which I didn’t like that much either),” she added.

HeatherAnne expressed a similar opinion: “It doesn’t do anything for me, she looks like a stuffed bird in the second picture, the religious overtones in the first picture don’t make sense to me. The third one, I do like. But together, as a whole concept, MEH.”

No one seems to outright hate the campaign, but we’re definitely feeling the absence of the dearly departed Alexander McQueen himself. You can’t help but wonder where the brand would be at this moment if he were still with us.
