Harper’s Bazaar Spain took an innovative approach when creating their summer cover, using an image by photographer Txema Yeste that depicts 2/3 sparkling pool water, and 1/3 bikini-clad model Hanaa Ben Abdesslem. Fashion Spot forum members appreciated the scroll-down surprise.
Tigerrouge commended Harper’s Bazaar Spain for their unconventional cover. “Some see water, others see a world of sensation,” she wrote. “In a marketplace full of airbrushed blandness, to have an image that attempts to show a different dimension, playing against the conventions of a cover shot, is something I'd buy in a heartbeat.”
“I can't get over how absolutely hot, stunning and perfect this is!” Psylocke exclaimed. “Such a striking image and once again just an overall good job by Harper’s Bazaar Spain.”
Between this and Vogue Netherlands’, we’ve seen some great summer covers thus far. I'm crossing my fingers that more magazines will have fun summer surprises in store for us as well.
