Flashback: Vogue Paris October 2006 with Natalia Vodianova by Mario Testino

Carine Roitfeld welcomed back Natalia Vodianova on the cover of Vogue Paris in October 2006. Patrick Demarchelier had first shot a pregnant Natalia for the magazine in April 2006. This time around, the Russian beauty gazed down the lens of Mario Testino wearing an embellished dress from Dolce & Gabbana with newborn baby daughter Neva in tow.

Testino also photographed two portfolios with a handful of fashion’s finest models, such as Natasha Poly, Tanya Dziahileva, Sasha Pivovarova, Vlada Roslyakova, Anna Mariya Urazhevskaya and Snejana Onopka. The theme of the entire issue is everything Russia, therefore most of the fashion content was heavily influenced by Russian culture. David Sims took a break from the Russian theme, though, and shot model Bette Franke for a fun, edgy and colorful story with Marie-Amélie Sauvé on styling duties. Also inside the issue are photographic duo Inez van Lamsweerde and Vinoodh Matadin, who captured Raquel Zimmermann in a dingy room wearing luxurious pieces of fur, styled by Emmanuelle Alt. There’s something for everyone!
