Members of our forums don’t miss a trick, and they’ve been speculating for months in the Cover Rumor Thread that this particular cover was in the works. Taylor Swift graces U.K. Vogue‘s November issue, released via its website this morning, and it was quickly brought over to our forums for debate. Mario Testino shot the “Shake It Off” singer wearing a range of pieces from Miu Miu, styled by Lucinda Chambers.
Our forum members are pleasantly surprised with the outcome. “She never looked better, I think this is one of the best celeb covers they’ve done in a long long while!” raved Miss Dalloway.
“My God! I’m ecstatic! This is amazing, love all the elements: the composition, the color scheme, styling, Taylor!! And here I was dreading a close-up shot. Don’t care for the preview, it looks too messy. Hope the rest of the ed reflects the laid-back setting,” agreed an elated Benn98.
MON shared his amazement: “I can’t believe that I actually like this. It’s not a hot mess, what a surprise!”
“This is actually very good, interesting clothes, hairstyle and concept. Nice for Vogue UK that always has terrible covers,” commented zacatecas570, echoing everyone’s delight.
Also in the mood for some Taylor was honeycombchild, who wrote, “I kind of… I’m surprised, but I actually like it. I think it looks cool. It’s very sickly sweet in its colour choices, but at least she looks different and again it’s something a little different for British Vogue.” But he went on to post, “Although, those freckles are drawn on I’m sure… Which I always find weird.”
In true forum fashion, a few members did find some flaws. “Why are all the fall covers looking so much more summery than summer covers?” questioned Darling Myy.
Not feeling Testino’s photography was blueorchid, who asked, “Was Craig McDean busy??”
