We’re well aware that fashion magazines often have favorite cover subjects (Kate Moss on British Vogue and Alessandra Ambrosio on Vogue Brazil) and it appears as though Du Juan is Vogue China’s cover model of choice. The magazine just handed the Chinese model her 12th cover as she graces the February 2015 issue by Daniel Jackson. Du Juan was shot against a neutral gray backdrop decked out in threads from Burberry Prorsum. (Does that hat truly go with that dress, though?)
Leave it to our forum members to give us their honest and sometimes brutal opinions. “How lovely, she looks cute,” commented Miss Dalloway, clearly a fan of Vogue China’s February cover.
“She looks very cute indeed,” responded TeeVanity in agreement.
Benn98 was in favor of the cover, too: “I love it, it’s much better than US Vogue‘s take on that Burberry hat. Very happy for Du Juan who may have 12 covers now, but over a long period. That’s way better than booking her year after year. Didn’t know Daniel Jackson is shooting covers for VC.”
Also sharing the same sentiments was narcyza: “It’s nice and simple. The palette of colors is perfect for [the] cover. Really cute. Good month for Vogue China.”
But not everyone was feeling it. “Extremely boring… everything,” posted anlabe32.
GlamorousBoy most certainly wasn’t a fan of the magazine’s efforts this month and wrote, “Booooring to death… how tacky to use that beautiful dress this boring way.”
