By now we’ve seen a vast majority of the Spring 2015 campaigns, but a select few continue to come out of the woodwork and more often than not, it isn’t the blue chip campaigns that impress us most. Theory’s new mainline adverts found their way onto our forums and members are currently deliberating over the images released by WWD earlier this week. Opting to redesign the masthead this season, Natalia Vodianova and Clement Chabernaud are the faces of the contemporary New York based brand’s spring ads, lensed by David Sims in London.
Our forum members took a break from the NYFW shows and started to discuss the fashion spots inside the thread. “That logo..my eyes..” exclaimed gossiping, who was about to set the tone of more comments to come.
“That’s their logo? Horror,” replied GIVENCHYlover in agreement.
They weren’t the only ones who disliked the rejigged emblem as VogueDisciple93 shared: “The new logo is awful!” Oh, dear.
Benn98 agreed: “Reminds me of Marc by Marc Jacobs. I hate these obtrusive logos. And yes, it looks very much like Natalia’s shots for Stella McCartney.”
“I wish they’d been photographed together! I’ve never seen a pic of these two together,” CrisGalaxy testified.
“Out of all the big photographers out there, David Sims is the one that needs to take the longest break. His work is soooo beyond drab & predictable,” disapproved valliaddict.
Better luck next time, we guess. See inside the thread for more campaign images and join the discussion here.
