Harper’s Bazaar Spain successfully managed to capture our attention last month, delivering a fabulously energetic cover featuring Mariacarla Boscono. Yet it appears as though the publication has let standards slip after the unveiling of its April 2015 issue. Brazilian beauty Isabeli Fontana becomes the magazine’s new cover girl, photographed by Alique for the occasion. Below is the regular newsstand cover, though we’ve been treated to the subscriber edition as well. But that hasn’t stopped our forum members from laying into Bazaar‘s latest offering.
“Is it me or she’s not looking at the camera? It’s disturbing…” Oxymore noted.
“The stare is bothering me. Like girl, look here. Second, the proportion of the body is disturbing. She looks stretched? Like they elongated her body parts?” asked MON.
Also not feeling it was Benn98: “The editorial shots posted so far is nothing special. I was hoping for a more athletic mood running through it.”
Bertrando3 soon fired back, writing, “Are you kidding me? This editorial is super cool, the poses, the fashion, her face, I love it!!! She’s growing on me just with this spread, wow. There’s energy, glamour and high fashion.”
“Just now she’s growing on you? This girl has been modeling high fashion for 25 years and she hasn’t aged a bit. People talk about Naomi and other supers. Isabeli is a bona fide SUPERMODEL. She’s amazing,” replied gazebo.
“Both covers are nice. I like her poses, the simple makeup and styling. But something with her face is wrong,” narcyza stated.
