Numéro impressed us with its March cover featuring model-of-the-moment Anna Ewers, but its latest issue, fronted by Mariacarla Boscono, hasn’t received much enthusiasm from our forums. Photographed by Peter Lindbergh, the current face of Givenchy cosmetics dons a black leather jacket paired with a bra and high-waisted shorts with some fishnet tights worn underneath, and her arms posed behind her head.
“I wish there was more intensity in her eyes,” noted andypolanco within moments of the cover surfacing on our forums.
“Lazy cover. MCB deserves better!” justaguy shared.
MON had the exact same sentiments: “I am disappointed. You had MCB and Lindbergh and this is what you get? The wasted potential bothers me. It could have been a very strong cover but this is what we get.. black and white.”
Also feeling the same way was Benn98, who was quick to reply, “What a letdown. The duo of Lindbergh and Mariacarla can do no wrong, but I’m not a fan of this. The forced pose and deep look throws me off.”
“Honestly, what happened with this magazine?” wondered blueorchid.
“Wow falling asleep…fair enough they want to use it in editorial, but cover? The contents have a lot to live up to,” exclaimed gossiping.
