It’s not exactly a secret that we’ve become huge supporters of Harper’s Bazaar Australia, after giving us the likes of Elle Macpherson, Miranda Kerr and Cate Blanchett on its previous installments. Now Bazaar gears up for the release of its August issue featuring a surprising cover subject: Emily Baker, whose last notable presence was a Gucci campaign back in 2011. We’re all for seeing models on our magazine covers and the New Zealand-born beauty was photographed by Steven Chee wearing Prada.
“Hopefully this cover heralds the return to the international stage of Miss Emily Baker?!” asked zoom right away.
“The return of Miss Baker. She looks amazing!” replied a content littlekiki.
Also thrilled with Bazaar‘s choice of subject was Avogadro, who echoed, “So nice to see Emily Baker.”
“Too much Photoshop, but you can’t deny this is a gorgeous cover and Emily’s looking stunning here,” said justaguy.
But the majority of us were left with mixed feelings. “At first glance I see Lara [Stone] and when I stare at it, I see Toni [Garrn]…” described MON.
Benn98 agreed, adding, “Toni Garrn? I see that as well. They’ve got just enough cover lines on the newsstand cover, and the image is still striking. I wish other editions would take note.”
“I am so over the bleached eyebrows trend but other than that this looks really good,” approved KateTheGreatest.
