Most of our forum members have taken a shine to Vogue Russia‘s latest unveiling — even though the cover gives us major flashbacks to the 1990s. Natasha Poly fronts the September issue, photographed by Patrick Demarchelier, and models a leopard print coat from Louis Vuitton before a rather contrasting orange studio backdrop. Reminder to the staff at Vogue Russia: this is 2015 people.
Natasha’s presence clearly saved the day. “Natasha looks beautiful, but somehow this looks cheap and dated,” said jeffandtheworld right away.
“I think the orange background makes it look dated. Natasha looks fab as always, but the rest is meh,” Nymphaea replied.
KateTheGreatest, agreed, echoing, “I don’t like the background colors but Natasha looks perfect – as always!”
Sharing the same sentiments was justaguy: “She looks so beautiful here. Too bad they ruined it with the dated looking burnt orange background.”
Although the magazine must have done something right. “A 90s flashback is good for me. She just beams radiance!” Aedlacir raved.
“Gorgeous cover! Great colors and a smashing close up! Great cover from VR!” praised miguelalmeida.
“Finally! I just love it! It’s going to be the first Russian Vogue I’m buying,” announced a more than satisfied Oxymore.
