Our forum members have pretty much fallen in love with Alessandro Michele‘s aesthetic for Gucci. The designer’s fresh vision has been embraced by the majority due to his eccentric collections and advertising campaigns for the iconic Italian fashion house. Sticking with photographer Glen Luchford, Michele tapped models Tami Williams, Allie Barrett, Kadri Vahersalu, Madison Stubbington, Rhiannon McConnell and Julita Formella to pose alongside male beauties Laurie Harding, Taavi Mand and Nick Shaw for Gucci’s recently unveiled Resort 2016 campaign and we’re completely sold.
From the onset, our forums erupted with sheer delight. “Gucci has become exciting again and I love it!” hailed Nomar, about to set the tone for comments to come.
Sharing the same sentiments was jescajade: “This is everything! The shots are great, and the video wow! So good, it just shows how well Alessandro Michele is executing his vision for the brand, love it!”
“Another fantastic campaign in my opinion. The clothes are overwhelmingly hideous, but the campaign is still somehow great,” acknowledged VogueDisciple93, just as things began to turn sour.
As expected, not everyone was on board with Michele’s vision. “I just really hate the new grandma Gucci style. I miss the old Gucci so much,” sobbed an uninterested and disapproving DutchHomme.
“Such a nice Prada campaign,” snarled orchidee, comparing the two Italian fashion houses.
