Ever since its debut back in 2013, our forums have been tremendous admirers and supporters of everything The Edit delivers. Net-a-Porter‘s digital magazine certainly gets our seal of approval this week after releasing its latest offering featuring a practically unairbrushed Gillian Anderson on the cover. Shot against a classic gray studio backdrop by Nico Bustos, The X-Files actress looks sensational in a figure-hugging dress from Victoria Beckham, styled by Charlotte Blazeby. Gillian’s blond hair was scraped back from her face and a minimal amount of makeup was applied to complete the look, leaving our forums speechless.
Our forums couldn’t wait to express some major kudos! “Perfection!!! Proof that this woman needs more fashion covers, stat! I’m obsessed with that second shot. Looks incredibly sexy, and her body looks so toned!” exclaimed a more than satisfied Benn98.
“Go Gillian! She’s one of the most beautiful women in Hollywood. With The X-Files premiering soon, you’d think she would get at least one mainstream cover! But I’m happy with this one,” approved kokobombon.
In the same frame of mind was TaylorBinque: “Gillian. The gorgeous wonderful Gillian. She is absolutely killing it in every single shot and a better model than a lot of those ‘models’ out there.”
Phuel shared the same sentiments, echoing, “After all the disastrous Vogue covers and even more awkward ELLE covers of the world, The Edit and Porter are like the lighthouse that finally greets you with assured confidence and ease in a sea of try-hards and mediocrity. Gillian is more beautiful as she matures, and The Edit team is smart and talented enough to capture that mature beauty rather than retouch her into a wax doll.”
“With age, she brings the incomparable combination of beauty and character,” admired tigerrouge.
