Our forums rarely give a bad review to The Gentlewoman ever since its debut back in 2010. The magazine continues into 2016 riding its wave of success as the British biannual title get us excited for its upcoming edition by unveiling a brand new cover for us to applaud. Kirsten Dunst becomes The Gentlewoman‘s Spring/Summer 2016 cover subject, following in the footsteps of Léa Seydoux, Saoirse Ronan and Adele. Going back to its roots and opting for a black and white cover photo shot by Alasdair McLellan, Kirsten was captured wearing a Gucci embroidered denim jacket and we are loving it.
“I love it, Kirsten looks amazing and it’s such a refreshing choice. Loved her in Fargo and the yellow behind it is such a nice balance. Excited to see more!” raved WeberFanatic.
Luxx couldn’t wait to praise, “Always love to see her. Great actress, great style and very charming in all her photographs. This is another great cover for The Gentlewoman! Whoever is in charge of selecting the cover subjects always gets it right.”
“Great cover, as usual. Love the contrast between the yellow and black and white. Looking forward to the contents, this magazine is always among the best out there,” approved mistress_f.
But a few of our forum members had some qualms with the cover. “It’s a great profile shot, but nothing except the blinding yellow seems suited to spring. In fact, it looks very dour,” pointed out Benn98.
Also a little uncertain was t-rex: “Not sure about the wet/stringy hair. Coupled with the denim jacket it makes the image kind of dowdy.”
