According to our forums, Vogue Spain often just sails by month after month, encountering more misses than hits. But fortunately enough for Spanish Vogue, those disasters have all been erased with its breathtakingly beautiful cover for March 2016. Gone are over-Photoshopped studio portraits with vapid models as we welcome model Aya Jones onto the cover, shot on location in the wilderness of Africa by Nico Bustos. Styled by Belen Antolin, the French beauty photographed wonderfully wearing Valentino for this momentous and joyous occasion.
Members of our forums couldn’t have been more appreciative. “Good grief, this looks spectacular!! This is easily their best cover yet. The stirring image, muted art direction, Aya…never would’ve expected this from them. Will start making plans to get this,” informed an overwhelmed Benn98.
“Whoa! Not only the best March cover, but possibly their best ever! This is simply sublime,” declared Miss Dalloway.
“Despite the cliché and the unconventional angle this really works; I think it’s Aya’s best shot yet and a brilliant cover!” approved Fiercification.
Style Savvy couldn’t contain his excitement, sharing, “Beautiful! That image is sublime, combined with the layout makes for a perfect cover.”
In the same frame of mind was Creative: “Gorgeous!!! Maybe the best Vogue España cover EVER? It is amazing! And the layout is fine. Whoa, I’m impressed Vogue España came up with this. It is stunning. Props!”
DutchHomme gave the cover a definite “10/10!!!”
