Our forums aren’t afraid to call out magazines for excessive use of Photoshop and this month Allure puts other mainstream fashion titles to shame. The beauty-focused magazine features Amy Adams wearing virtually no makeup as the sea breeze catches her unstyled hair and she flashes a warm and inviting smile. Photographed by Carter Smith and styled by Paul Cavaco, Amy wears a vibrant orange silk georgette dress by Michael Kors Collection on the effortless and welcoming cover.
Of course, forum members rejoiced over the idea of a Photoshop-free cover. “I love this. Feels so fresh!” approved DutchHomme immediately.
“She looks fantastic! Like 20 years younger than she actually is fantastic. The cover and the second image in which she is wearing the orange dress are sublime. I don’t think I’ve ever seen her look better in photographs… The perfection of the cover and the corresponding images in the editorial almost make up for the highly underwhelming Bella Hadid and Naomi Campbell covers…” chimed in vavavinny.
Sharing the same positive attitude toward the cover was [Piece Of Me]: “This is so lovely and fresh! Especially the shots in orange are truly beautiful.”
KateTheGreatest agreed, sharing, “I love how natural she looks and those colours immediately put me in the mood for spring, which is cool.”
“I love the warmth and freshness. When Carter gets it right, he really gets it right. This is something that I’d love to see in U.S. Vogue…” expressed a more than thrilled kokobombon.
