There’s no denying the fact that Vogue Japan has been following a certain formula over the past couple months, having recently served up the likes of Bella Hadid and Kendall Jenner. Therefore, our forums were half expecting to see Gigi Hadid on the cover for November but were surprised to learn a “regular” model had made the cut. Breaking the pattern this month is Grace Hartzel, who is currently having her moment, splashed across the pages of American Vogue and starring on Vogue Korea. Photographed by Patrick Demarchelier, the American beauty wears a jacket from Burberry that was shown at London Fashion Week just a few days ago.
Members of our forums were delighted. “This is fresh! She looks really great and so does the jacket. I was expecting Gigi so thank goodness they proved me wrong!” cried out an approving GivenchyHomme at once.
“Love this cover, Grace is a chameleon,” raved TeeVanity.
RedSmokeRise felt the same way, echoing, “The more I look back on this the more I like it. I never thought she’d be able to move past that Hedi Slimane rock girl look but the new hairstyles have been working rather well for her.”
“Oh this looks good! Really good!” MON added, sharing the same sentiments toward the cover.
Also showing some love was Lola701: “Very beautiful! She looks so fragile but commanding at the same time! Beautiful jacket/shirt combo!”
“This is the best Grace has ever looked, I love it,” littlekiki enthused.
“She looks so great on the cover… much better than Vogue Korea!” expressed Zposen.
“I absolutely love this! Not a fan of the hair but it makes her eyes stand out. I love the icy, intense vibe of this cover. Happy for Grace,” Aizanara congratulated.
